Hi everyone - here's my next question: I always hated grapes, until recently I discovered seedless concord grapes, which are so fabulous (and hard to find) that I am Converted from Anti-Grape to Pro-Grape. I even eat the seeds. I've always held the opinion that it is simply WRONG to genetically manipulate a fruit till it's seedless, anyway, and seedless grapes taste like crap. So here's the thing: I can find NON-Organic seeded grapes (Concords) but all the so-called Organic grapes at my health food stores are seedless. (How can they be organic if they've been genetically altered????) Have I mentioned that I think seedless grapes are an abomination against nature besides tasting like crap? Well, so which is better, for me to eat/juice grapes I totally disagree with on every level, or to go ahead and eat the non-organic concord grapes that I love (I soak them in water for a while before I put them away or use them) and take my chances with pesticide residues? Che Cheli, Being organic means no chemicals were used. Genetically altered can be grown without using any chemicals or not As far as eating or juicing grapes will depend on your taste. Drinking grape juice can give you a sugar rush and if you have sugar problems maybe that not a good idea. Also if you are toxic, drinking grape juice can make you real sick You can " cut " grape juice with water or drink it real slow. Silver Fox! |

Hi Cheli and Silver Fox, Thank you both for your posts. Dr. Morse ABSOLUTELY LOVES GRAPES! He recommends drinking (and eating) grapes as often and as much as you want. Grapes are high in antioxidants and astringent properties, which help remove toxins from the body. Eating and drinking grape juice makes for an excellent fast. Dr. Morse has been known to "fast" people for over 20 days on just grapes. Even a 5 or 10 day grape or grape juice fast is superb and extremely beneficial. Grapes (and lemons) are two of nature's greatest lymphatic cleansers and "tumor busters". Cheli, you are right. Seeded grapes can be more effective and powerful, especially if you can get them organic. It is even suggested to juice the seeds and stems for mega nutrition. However, if you can't get organic, it is highly recommended to wash ALL your produce with a high quality veggie wash, or you can even use food grade hydrogen peroxide (1 capful) and lemon juice from half of a medium-sized lemon (freshly squeezed). Seedless grapes are still effective, but if it does bother you to eat genetically altered food, I have noticed some people bless their food before they eat it. From your previous posts and E-mails, you seem very spiritual. If they are seedless, they can still be organic. That just means that no chemicals have been used on them. Even if buy organic, it is still helpful to wash your produce well. Have a wonderful day my friends! Sincerely, Jennifer |

Jennifer, you're fab (short for Fabulous). Is it better to have lemons (I use them - including the skin if they're organic - all the time) alone, like in water, or is it okay to use them squeezed on apples and salads? I use them so frequently that I wonder how to get the maximium benefit. As for blessing the food - I do this often, especially when I eat cooked food. It's supposed to raise the vibe so that it actually is more compatible with our body. Anyway thanks for the post. It seems to me that "organic" should also mean "not genetically manipulated" but that may be asking too much. But that's a whole philosphical issue aside... Cheli |

Dear All, I have been following this very interesting discussion, and hope you don't mind, if I add a question on washing non-organically-grown grapes. My question actually relates to washing all non-organic fruits and vegetables. "With the understanding that soaking and washing with hydrogen-peroxide and lemon juice mixed with water will remove pesticides from the skin of fruits and vegetables, what can be done to counteract the pesticides that may have entered the fruits and veggies through uptake of chemicals (that have leaked into the soil) into the plant by the plant's root system?" Thank you kindly for any response. Andre |

Andre - I totally concur with your concerns about the uptake of chemicals through the soil. Also, the skins of fruits are porous - as are the surfaces of all living things - and as you say, the pesticides penetrate. So washing is not by any means a perfect solution. I think it's more a matter of doing what you can to remove the pesticides and herbicides, knowing that you're still getting some of the effects. About 95 percent of what I eat is organic, and generally speaking, I refuse to eat fruits in particular that are not organically grown. That's why I've been dismayed about the grapes. The only grapes I've found so far that I like are concord and champagne grapes, and I haven't found organic ones. It's very frustrating. Knowing that Dr. Morse is into grapes is what made me start looking for grapes I can stand to eat, but I'm kind of losing the battle. I have thought of asking Whole Foods to start supplying seeded grapes that are organically grown... |

There is always going to be some leaching of pesticides through the soil, but the power of a raw food diet, especially fruits (high antioxidant and astringent properties),will over-power the minute amount of pesticides! This is why we do recommend organic foods (if possible), but the truth of the matter is, there is always going to be some leaching. You can't worry about it. If you can't get organic, wash all your produce the best you can. You can't reach perfection on this toxic planet, nor is it advisable. One spiritual life is far more important at this time. Other than that... GOOD LUCK! This is also why Dr. Morse created his herbal formulas to greater enhance the process of detoxification (removal of toxins, etc.). I hope this helps ease your minds some. Thanks again for your posts! Have a wonderful day. Take care, Jennifer |

Dear Chris, As much as I appreciate your interest in God’s Herbs, your recent post saddens me. I hope you didn’t get the wrong impression of our company name: God’s Herbs. God’s Herbs stands behind all walks of life, regardless of religion, sex, race, creed, sexual preference, etc. Dr. Morse has taught me a great deal over the years. The most valuable lesson that stays with me the most is how to love and have an open mind (and heart) for everyone and everything on this planet. Life is too short to waste on hate and anger. A lot of sickness that some bring upon themselves is from holding in anger, hate, fear, etc. Once you let it all go, you will find yourself a more peaceful, loving person. As Dr. Morse says: Always fill yourself with love and God. If everyone did this at all times, this world would be a much different place. Thank you for your post, Jennifer Willette |
